DUSHANBE, April 28, 2011, Asia-Plus — Chinese company, Tebian Electric Apparatus Stock Company Limited (TBEA), will build a new CHP (Combined Heat and Power) plant in Dushanbe, Rashid Gulov, an official with Barqi Tojik power holding, told reporters on April 27.  

According to him, a coal-powered CHP plant that is expected to produce 270MW of electricity daily will be constructed in the Luchob area.

“TBEA will construct the plant on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis,” said Gulov, “Once the CHP plant is built, all the revenue over the next 12 years will go to the investor and Tajikistan will become the owner of the CHP plant after this period expires.”

A total cost of the project is 200 million U.S. dollars and the first two lines will be introduced into operation by 2013, the Barqi Tojik official noted, adding that the plant will comply with modern environmental requirements.

TBEA Co., Ltd is a China-based company engaged in manufacture and sale of electric power transmission and transformation equipment. The Company provides transformers, reactors, mutual sensors, wires and cables, solar silicon chips and solar photovoltaic components, among others.  The Company also involves in contract construction services of power transmission and transformation projects, as well as photovoltaic projects.  It operates its businesses in domestic and overseas markets. The Company has subsidiaries and affiliates, involved in manufacture and sale of power transmission and transformation equipment and coal products, as well as implementation of energy projects.
