DUSHANBE, May 17, 2011, Asia-Plus  — Tajik national air carrier, Tajik Air, has launched a new international route – from Dushanbe to Dubai (the United Arab Emirates or UAE).

According to the Tajik Air press center, it will be a twice-weekly service – the flight will be operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The first flight on the Dushanbe-Dubai route will be operated on May 24.  The passenger fare on this route is 200 euros, the source said.

Tajik Air has also announced introduction of business class fares for the following routes: Dushanbe-Moscow (Russia); Dushanbe-Novosibirsk (Russia); Dushanbe-Urumqi (China); and Dushanbe-Tehran (Iran).  Boeing 757-200s will be used to operate these flights.  The price difference with economy and business classes on these routes will be only 100.00 euros.

Tajik Air has its head office on the property of Dushanbe Airport in Dushanbe.  The airline has its main hub at Dushanbe Airport, and it retains a secondary focus point at Khujand Airport in Sughd province.  Tajik Air now serves more than 20 destinations in eight countries
