DUSHANBE, July 7, 2011, Asia-Plus — The Ministry of Education (MoE) reportedly plans to hand over one million books to the National Library, which will be put in commission by September 9 this year, the MoE spokesman Noilsho Nouraliyev told Asia-Plus today.

According to him, they have already collected 350,000 books for the library in the regions.  “They will be handed over to the library today,” Nouraliyev said.

Besides, employees of the education sector have also collected pictures and the applied arts items for the library.  “Employees of the education sector will continue this initiative till early September, when the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence will be marked,” the spokesman added.
