DUSHANBE, July 28, 2011, Asia-Plus  — More than 2,000 solar batteries will be installed in houses of residents of mountain areas of Tajikistan free of charge, the press center of the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI) reports.

The solar batteries have reportedly been provided within the framework of cooperation of Tajikistan with a number of countries, organizations and companies.

“85 solar batteries will be installed in houses of residents of the Yaghnob area in Sughd’s Ayni district within the next few days,” the source said, noting that each of those solar has a primary capacity of 30 kilowatt.

Besides, 100 solar batteries will be installed in Khatlon’s districts of Baljuvon and Khovaling and 1,500 solar batteries will be distributed among districts of Gorno Badakhshan.
