KHUJAND, July 29, 2011, Asia-Plus  — 100 entrepreneurs from China visited the Sughd Free Economic Zone (FEZ) from July 24 to July 29.

According to the Sughd FEZ administration, the delegation members included representatives from industrial, investment, tourist and real-estate development companies as well as lecturers from the business and marketing institutes from Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Guizhou.

The tour was organized by Guizhou Fenggang Life Industry Investment Management Co and chairman of the board of directors of this company, Mr. Yu Xiang (phonetically spelled), headed the delegation.

The purpose of the visit was for the delegation to get acquainted with the Sughd FEZ activities, establish trade and economic cooperation with Tajik companies and discuss the possibility of launching enterprises in the Sughd FEZ.

Mr. Yu Xiang noted that two large Chinese investment companies planned to operate in the Sughd FEZ.  “As far as our company is concerned, we plan to arrange a number of modern productions in this free economic zone,” he noted.
