QURGHON TEPPA, September 17, 2011, Asia-Plus  — A group of Iranian entrepreneurs visited the Tajik southern province of Khatlon recently for the purpose of getting acquainted with the situation in the agrarian sector of the province for further investment, the Khatlon regional administration’s press center reports.

During a meeting with Khatlon governor Ghaybullo Avzalov, they reportedly asked to allot them land for cultivation of various crops.

Khatlon governor hailed Iranian entrepreneurs’ intentions and offered them three districts for crop cultivation – Panj, Qumsangir and Qubodiyon districts.  These districts have enough undeveloped land.

Iranian entrepreneurs promised to deliver the state-of-the-art agricultural equipment to the province for growing farm produce for export, the source said.
