DUSHANBE, October 10, 2011, Asia-Plus — French parachute instructors have conducted paratroop training for cadets from the Tajik Military Institute and servicemen from National Guard and Mobile Forces.
According to the Embassy of France in Dushanbe, the training was conducted from September 27 to October 2 at the Fakhrobod Training Center and France’s Air Force subunit in Dushanbe.
The training was conducted by seven specialists from the Paratroop Training Center CASV in Orleans.
“Forty-nine Tajik servicemen participated in the training and they made four parachute jumps each from the military transport aircraft C-160,” the source said, noting that the training participants were given certificates on basic military airborne training (BIPM).
He added that the paratroop training has been conducted for Tajik servicemen within the framework of French-Tajik cooperation for already seven years.
