DUSHANBE, November 19, 2011, Asia-Plus – Representative office of Tajikistan’s Migration Service in Russia says the detention of Tajik citizens in Moscow has increased and Tajik nationals are being dismissed in Moscow without any explanations. 

According to data from the representative office of Tajikistan’s Migration Service in Russia, the management of the organization department of the Cristanval Company (Moscow) at Terminal D of Sheremetyevo-3 Airport dismissed five Tajik nationals without explanation of reasons.

“Labor migrants say the company representatives said the decision on dismissal of them is based on change of “political situation,” said the source, “We jointly with the company’s security service are currently investigating this case.”

Besides, fifteen nationals of Tajikistan were detained in a raid made by the Moscow police in the Yasenevo area on November 11, the source added.

We will recall that the Migration Service head Safiallo Devonayev said in Dushanbe on November 15 that according to official information from the Russian government, on November 8 some 84 Tajik citizens were being held in detention centers in Russia awaiting deportation.  On November 14, that number had increased to 205 and it rose to 245 the following day.
