DUSHANBE, December 15, 2011, Asia-Plus  — 39 countries of the world have provided some US$85 million worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in January-November this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Over the report period, 495 tons of vegetable oil for US$935,000, more than 2,200 tons of wheat flour for more than US$1.1 million, more than US$63 million worth of medicines and medical equipment, US$2.1 million worth of footwear and clothing, as well as food products, electrical appliances and computers have been delivered to the country.

Among the donor countries the greatest share in value came from the United States – 72.1 percent, Russia – 6.5 percent, Denmark – 5.1 percent, China – 3.7 percent.
