DUSHANBE, December 16, 2011, Asia-Plus  — Iran’s construction equipment manufacturer, Haffar Machine, intends to open its representative office in Tajikistan, the press center of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) reports.

This issue was reportedly discussed at a meeting of the CCI deputy head Asanali Karamaliyev with senior representatives from the Iranian company that took place here on December 15.

According to the Haffar Machine representatives, 25 types of the construction machines manufactured by their company are now used in Tajikistan for construction of the Roghun hydroelectric power plant (HPP) and the Istiqlol Tunnel, the source said.

According to him, the Haffar Machine representatives asked the CCI to help them open their representative office in Tajikistan.

Karamaliyev assured them that the CCI was ready to provide assistance within the boundaries of its competence.  He also recommended Iranian entrepreneurs to meet with specialists from the Ministry of Transport and the State Committee for Investments and State-owned Property Management in order to get more detailed information.

According to information posted on Haffar Machine’s website, the company started in 1994 with the dealership of Officine Giordano/Itadem, Italian made hydraulic breakers, in the city of Shiraz, Iran.  The company focused mainly on importing the best possible construction machinery and their attachments into Iran.

In 2004, Haffar Machine obtained dealership from LiuGong China, the second largest wheel loader manufacturer in the world, and imported the first LiuGong loader into Iran.

Today the company’s headquarters are in Tehran.  The company reportedly employs more than 120 professionals in seven different departments and has an annual turnover of 60 million Euros.  Haffar Machine has won numerous awards for sales and marketing and after sales services.

Founded in 1958, LiuGong Construction Machinery is China”s largest construction equipment manufacturer and ranks 21st largest in the world.  LiuGong both manufactures and sells its construction equipment around the world.  LiuGong employs over 10,000 people worldwide, has 880 sales outlets, 100 dealers, 16 manufacturing facilities, seven regional parts depots and six global offices.
