QURGHON TEPPA, January 25, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Jumakhon Safarov, the chairman of the Shahritous district in the southern Khatlon province has dismissed his four relatives from the district administration, following president’s criticism directed at local officials in the provinces.

We will recall that President Emomali Rahmon has sharply criticized local authorities in the provinces.  President’s criticism, directed at local authorities in the provinces, came during an address to the government meeting in Dushanbe on January 18.

President Rahmon, in particular, sharply criticized the Shahritous chairman Jumakhon Safarov and gave him six month to remove existing shortcomings.

“I have realized my mistakes and I have already begun to remove them,” said Safarov.  “Anyone can make such a mistake.  The president criticized me in time.  I realized my mistake and I will not make it any more.”
