DUSHANBE, February 2, 2012, Asia-Plus  — The National Association of Managers and Marketers of Tajikistan (NAMM) has launched two contests — “Business Elite of Tajikistan” and “Top Ten Managers of Tajikistan.”

The NAMM head Shavkat Bozorov told a news conference in Dushanbe on February 2 that the contests are dedicated to promote popularization of local entrepreneurship and formation of a positive image of managers and new generation of businesspeople in the country.  The award ceremonies for the winners of the contests will take place in December 2012.

“Only legal entities (commercial organizations and enterprises) operating in Tajikistan are eligible to participate in the contests,” Bozorov said, noting that the contest participants must a pay registration fee of 2,000 somoni for representatives of small business, 3,000 somoni for medium-sized enterprises, 4,000 somoni for large enterprises and 5,000 somoni for “giants.”

According to him, the collected funds will go to financing “organization and holding of the contests at the highest level.”

The winners of the contests will be selected on the basis of integrated assessment by an expert council comprising known experts on the Tajik economy and via SMS voting.
