DUSHANBE, February 13, 2012, Asia-Plus – Six persons were detained by officers from the Drug Control Agency (DCA) over the last week on suspicion of drug peddling, the DCA press center reports.  The DCA press center, however, did not detail how much narcotics had been confiscated from them.

Thus, it reported that two residents of the city Qurghon Teppa were detained in two separate operations last week on suspicion of drug peddling and heroin was confiscated from them.

One more alleged drug pusher was reportedly arrested in Dushanbe and hashish was confiscated from.

An operation carried out by officers from DCA’s office in Sughd province led to the arrest of two alleged drug pushers in the northern city of Chkalovsk.  A consignment of cannabis was confiscated from them.

One more drug pushing attempt was warded off by drug control officers in Khorog, the capital of Gorno Badakhshan.  One person was detained by officers from DCA’s office for Gorno Badakhshan while attempting to sell heroin.
