DUSHANBE, February 24, 2012, Asia-Plus – On Thursday February 23, Tajik Ambassador to Qatar met in Doha with Mr. Nasser Abdullah Saleh Al Ghamdi, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Qatar, the Tajik MFA information department reports.

Issues related to labor cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar were a major topic of the meeting.

Tajik diplomat noted that Tajik skilled specialists could be recruited to work in various sectors of Qatar’s economy, in particular in the agrarian sector.

Mr. Nasser Abdullah Saleh Al Ghamdi reportedly noted that Qatar was also interested in establishment of cooperation with Tajikistan in that direction (recruitment of Tajik specialists for work in construction and services sectors in Qatar).

The sides noted that the launch of air route between Dushanbe and Doha could promote expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar in that sphere.

At the end of the meeting, the two came to a conclusion that it is necessary to organize bilateral visits of relevant delegations for consideration of those issues and singing of a cooperation agreement, the source said.
