The US Embassy will fund the first ever exhibition of photo reporters “My Khujand” in in Khujand.
The first ever exhibition of young amateur photographers will be held at the Khujand B.Gafurov State University’s faculty of culture, GIV-Accent (Khujand) public association told the AP. The event will last from April 16th to April 21st. The overall goal of the event is to attract citizens of Khujand to the idea of creating a new society of photographers and formation of the society of photo reporters and draw attention of those interested in modern digital photographs.
The exhibition will display photographs produced by young amateur photographers from Khujand, Kairakkum and Chkalovsk – members of a school of photo reporters, which was set up on the basis of the GIV-Accent in line with the Khujand school of photo reporters project funded by the US Embassy in Tajikistan.
Young photographers will display their photographs of their vision of Khujand city, its streets and people who live and work there and photographs of Khujand’s nature in different seasons of the year.
