Yesterday, May 7, Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloev conducted a working session with representatives of production and construction entities of Dushanbe, activists of the city, responsible officials and law enforcement officials. The goal of the session was to discuss implementation of tasks set by the President in his Annual Message to the Parliament.

In his interview to AP a spokesman for the Dushanbe Mayor Shavkat Saidov said that Mayor attached primary attention to the development of national industry, provision of internal market with production of local producers.

“Mayor ordered related officials and services to create new workplaces in Dushanbe. He offered to organize an annual contest to the Best entity which created new workplaces. The winner will be awarded new two-room apartment in Dushanbe,” Saidov has said.

He said Mayor expressed dissatisfaction with the work of public transport in the capital and ordered Deputy Mayor Abdulkhak Oev and Head of the Traffic Police Unit Sirojiddin Turakhonov to undertake related measures to improve situation in the given direction.

Ubaidulloev also ordered to lease related sales points in new subways to such periodicals as Asia-Plus, Vecherny Dushanbe, Vecherka, Ozodagon, Farazh, SSSR and Tojikiston. Another 24 two-storey book shops will appear in the capital till the end of 2012.
