The agreement on action-duty air defense forces of the Commonwealth countries while obtaining the information about the capture of the plane, which was signed in Dushanbe summit in September 2011 was ratified today during the third session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan.

In his report to the session Tajik Deputy Minister of Defense Suhrob Mahmadov said that ratification of this document will contribute to strengthening of counter-terrorism efforts undertaken by the Commonwealth member states.

Furthermore, deputies of the Lower Chamber ratified ten agreements and protocols signed in the frameworks of CSTO.

Head of the Parliament’s Defense and Security Committee Amirkul Azimov said that ratification of such CSTO agreements as “Agreement on the formation and functioning of collective security system and forces”, “Agreement on status of formation of collective security forces and means”, “Agreement on preservation of military enterprises and organizations” may contribute to strengthening of defense potential of CSTO member states.
