On May 11 a group of Iranian businessmen visited ‘Sughd’ free economic zone.

The Delegation included businessmen and representatives of Trade Chamber of the Iran’s province of Qom. The Delegation was headed by deputy head of the Foreign Trade Department of Qom’s Trade Chamber Rizo Ogoziyerati.

Senior manager of the free economic zone Anvar Yakubov told the visitors about the activity of the free economic zone, establishment of cooperation with business circles from foreign countries, future plans, registered entities and their production. Yakubov also uncovered main directions of investment activity of companies registered on the territory of the free economic zone.

Visitors were mainly interested in customs procedures and infrastructure of the free economic zone. Yakubov told the visitors about the construction of the primary infrastructure, procedures of the free economic zone, benefits for investors, preparation for and implementation of projects of the logistics and transport center, single service center and business support center.

The sides have also discussed cooperation in such directions as footwear production, processing of fruits and vegetables, production of washing materials.
