KULOB, July 11, 2012 Asia-Plus  — Three other villages in the Langardara jamoat, the Shouroobod district in Khatlon province have been reconnected to the power transmission line after the 11-year interruption, bringing the total number of villages in this jamoat receiving electricity to ten, Mirzo Ismoilov, director of the Kulob power supply network, announced at a news conference in Kulob on July 10.

For this the network had to repair the sub-station in the Farm named after I. Sharipov and replace some 18 kilometers of the power transmission line, Ismoilov said.

Meanwhile, more than 100 small villages with four to ten households in ten districts of the Kulob region of Khalton still remain without electricity.
