In the next two days, August 22-23, Sughd province will face electricity cuts, press service of the Administration of Sughd Province reports.

“The South-North high-voltage power line will be closed for repair from 8:00 till 17:00 local time,” the source reported.

Therefore, the administration of the province urged the population of the area to use alternative energy sources during this period.

As reported to AP by the Barqi Tojik, limited energy supply is linked to repair works at the South-North and other power lines. “Repair works will be carried out at other high-voltage power lines as well as at some substations,” the source stressed.

The company added that these measures are part of a regular annual plan which is aimed to prepare the country”s power system to the forthcoming fall-winter period.
