United States are interested in the development of trade and transit and formation of free economic zones in Tajikistan, Deputy Director of the Bureau for Public Diplomacy for South and Central Asia of the U.S. Department of State Ms. Nicole Chulick said last week in the course of her meeting with senior officials of “Sughd” FEZ.

Ms.Chulick said she is aware of the activity of the Tajik FEZ, current projects and approaches aimed at improvement of governance and attraction of investments.

Chief of “Sughd” FEZ Mr. Anvar Yakubov said FEZ is planning to set up a new educational center for business support and stressed that it would be effective to attract related organizations and the U.S.

He urged the visitors to attract related staff of the organization to educational and awareness programs led by the U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan and establish relations with the U.S. volunteer business support organizations.
