DUSHANBE, October 11, 2012, Asia-Plus  — The 12th meeting of the CIS Council of Migration Service Agency Heads and the 11th meeting of the Council for Migration Policy under the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) Integration Committee have kicked off in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan today.

According to the press center of the Migration Service under the Government of Tajikistan, the two-day meetings are considering the current migration situation within the CIS area and the illegal migration problems.

The CIS migration service agency heads are considering issues related to cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) on the implementation of the program for labor migration and cooperation between the CIS migration service agencies and media on formation of a tolerant attitude towards labor migrants as well as Russia’s national migration policy designed for the period till 2015. 

The EAEC Council for Migration Policy meeting is considering the plan of actions for 2011-2013 as well as priorities of the migration cooperation between the EAEC member nations, the source said.

During his stay in Bishkek, Tajik migration service agency head Safiallo Devonayev is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with his counterparts from a number of the CIS nations.
