DUSHANBE, October 16, 2012, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) for January-September this year has amounted to some 25 billion somoni (equivalent to some 5.2 million U.S. dollars), according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
GDP structure by sources of income included: agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing – 23.3 percent; industry, including energy sector – 13.9 percent, construction – 7.78 percent, sale and repair of automobiles and home appliances and consume goods, hotels and restaurants – 14.5 percent; transportation, communications and warehousing – 15.2 percent; real estate transactions and financing activity – 0.5 percent; public management and state compulsory insurance – 3.6 percent; education – 3.5 percent; health care and social services – 1.4 percent; public services as well as social and personal service – 3.6 percent; and taxes – 12.9 percent.
The government expects gross domestic product for this year to stand at 35 billion somoni.
