Tajik MPs to attend the next session of the General Assembly of Asian Parliaments

DUSHANBE, October 19, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Members of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament – Ms. Nodira Turdimatova and Mr. Amirbek Mahmadaliyev – will attend the tenth session of the General Assembly of Asian Parliaments that will take place in Bangkok, Thailand on October 24.

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says the session, which is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of founding of the General Assembly of Asian Parliaments, will review the results of its work carried out in 2011 and 2012.

The session will also consider the plan of actions designed for 2013, Sultonov said.

Founded in 1982, General Assembly of Asian Parliaments now reportedly comprises of 20 member parliaments from Asia and Oceania
