DUSHANBE, November 8, 2012, Asia-Plus  — On Wednesday November 7, Minister of Finance Safarali Najmiddinov met here with the mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for Tajikistan, led by Jonathan Dunn.

The Ministry of Finance (MoF)’s Secretariat reports the sides discussed the 2013 national budget parameters in accordance with the medium-term program for sustainability of public expenses as well as social spending earmarked for 2013, measures to raise incomes and general policy issues.

A special attention was reportedly given to issues related to the tax and monetary policy, including the new edition of the country’s tax code, servicing foreign debt, monitoring state-run enterprises and Tajikistan’s relations with other international financial institutions.
