DUSHANBE, November 8, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Deputies of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament have endorsed a bill requiring an anticorruption expertise of laws and draft laws.

A regular sitting of the fourth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fourth convocation, presided over by its head, Shukurjon Zuhurov, was held on November 8.

Presenting the bill, Fattoh Saidov, Director of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption, noted that the law lays down legal foundations and determines procedure for carrying out anticorruption expertise of legal acts and their drafts.

According to him, to carry out the anticorruption expertise of laws and drafts laws they will enlist the services of representatives of the anticorruption agency and the ministry of justice as well as representatives of civil society and ministries and agencies working out those laws.
