DUSHANBE, November 27, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Two young women – Firouza Damonova, 23, and Saida Ustojonova, 21 – were detained at the Dushanbe airport on November 26 on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking, the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan reports.

They were reportedly detained during an inspection of passengers on the flight Dushanbe-Nizhniy Novgorod (Russia).

“The peddlers ingested totaling 151 wraps of narcotic drug that tested positive to heroin weighing 1.1 kilograms,” the source said.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against them and an investigation is under way.  The transportation prosecutor’s office is carrying out investigation into the case.
