DUSHANBE, January 23, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Tajik Ambassador to Lithuania Qozidavlat Qoimdodov participated in an annual meeting of Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite with foreign ambassadors resident in and accredited in Lithuania, the Tajik MFA information department reports.

Issues related to domestic and foreign policy of Lithuania were a major topic of the meeting that took place in Vilnius on January 21.

Speaking at the meeting, President Grybauskaite stressed that priorities of Lithuania’s foreign policy include deeper European integration, efficient cooperation within frameworks of the European Union and NATO, as well as establishment and expansion of constructive relations based on real partnership with neighboring countries.

On the same day, the newly appointed Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius received the ambassadors to discuss the socioeconomic situation in Lithuania and further development plans, the Tajik MFA information department said.
