DUSHANBE, April 9, 2013, Asia-Plus  — Two other Russian air carriers — IrAero Airline and Yamal Airlines — began operating flights to Dushanbe in early April, bringing a total number of foreign air carriers operating flights to the Tajik capital to nineteen.

According to Dushanbe International Airport, IrAero Airline operates flights from the Russian city of Omsk to Dushanbe and Yamal Airlines operates flights from the Russian city of Tyumen to Dushanbe.

IrAero Airline is an airline based in the Russian city of Irkutsk.  It operates domestic scheduled passenger services, charter and cargo flights.

Yamal Airlines is an airline based in Salekhard, Russia.  It operates regional passenger services and was established in 1997.

We will recall that a low-cost airline from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dubai Aviation Corporation (Flydubai), plans to operate flights to Dushanbe beginning on May 1.  The company will operate flights to Dushanbe twice a week – on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Three Tajik air carriers (Tajik Air, Somon Air and East Air) and nineteen foreign air carriers, including Turkish Airlines (Turkey), China South Airlines (China), Asman Air (Iran), Kam Air (Afghanistan), two airlines from Kazakhstan and  Kyrgyzstan as well as thirteen Russian air carriers now operate flights to and from Tajikistan.
