DUSHANBE, April 9, 2013, Asia-Plus – Tajik Resident Emomali Rahmon left Dushanbe today for an official visit to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Tajik president’s official website reports.

Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi, State Adviser to the President for Foreign Policy Erkin Rahmatulloyev, Minister of Energy and Industries Gul Sherali, Chairman of the State Committee for Investments and State-owned Property Management Davlatali Saidov, Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) Commission for Environmental Protection Mahmadsharif Haqdodov and some other high-ranking Tajik state officials are accompanying Rahmon on his visit to Belgium.

According to data of the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan, a two-way trade between Tajikistan and Belgium last year amounted to more than 14.1 million U.S. dollars, 5.1 times more than in 2011.
