DUSHANBE, April 10, 2013, Asia-Plus – The Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) Chairman Mahmadsaid Ubaiduloyev, heading Tajik parliamentary delegation, is currently in St. Petersburg to attend sessions of the Inter-Parliamentary Assemblies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC), Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Milli said.

, which will be held in St. Petersburg on April 11, upon the initiative of the Chairman of the State Duma (Russia’s lower house of parliament) of the Russian Federation and under the auspices of the St. Petersburg State University of Economics (the lead higher education institution of the Eurasian Universities Association).

The forum is expected to discuss a wide range of economic, legal and political issues related to the integration processes.

While in St. Petersburg, Tajik parliamentarians will also attend the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the joint conference of if the CIS Inter-parliamentary Assembly and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) that will take place on April 12, Saidov said.
