DUSHANBE, August 9, 2013, Asia-Plus — Volumes of reserve assets rose 15.1 percent in a year to July 1, 2013, reaching 4.5 billion somoni, according to the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT).
Over the report period, cash out of banks and money supply (currency in circulation, demand deposits, fixed time deposits and securities) rose 28 ad 24.5 percent respectively.
Monetary aggregates rose 19.6 percent in a year to July 1, 2013, Tajik central bank noted.
As of July 1, 2013, a money multiplier, which is one of various closely related ratios of commercial bank money to central bank money, amounted to 1.13 points and the rate of the economy’s money supply was 22.6 percent.
