DUSHANBE, September 16, 2013, Asia-Plus – Press office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan reported that meeting of Tajik and Iranian business circles was held past Saturday in Dushanbe.

Hasanali Karamaliev, Deputy Chair of Tajik Chamber of Commerce and Industry, told about perspective areas of cooperation, and noted the need for creation of joint manufacturing plants for processing of local raw materials with new working places. Mr. Karamaliev noted further that the company should be created with the use of new modern technologies, which produces competitive products that meet international quality standards.

The deputy head said: “It should be noted that the newly created companies should be ready to work under WTO norms and rules.”

Individual talks between Tajik and Iranian entrepreneurs and exchange of informational material was held during the meeting. All the participants received a copy of the Business Guide CD.

At the end of the meeting a Memorandum on Cooperation was signed between the Tajik Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture of Alborz Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

It is expected that the Iranian delegation, headed by the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture of Alborz Province, Hossein Tousi, will meet with the leadership of the Ministries of Economic Development and Trade, Energy and Industry, Agriculture, as well as the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan.
