DUSHANBE, December 19, 2013, Asia-Plus – Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev has reported to the capital legislature (Majlis) on the results of work carried out over the first eleven months of this year.

In a report released at the session, the mayor noted today morning that 258 enterprises operating in Dushanbe have produced a total of 815.5 million worth of goods over the first eleven months of this year, which was 81.8 million somoni less than in the same period last year.

The mayor stressed that disruption in the supply of natural gas to the Dushanbe cement plant was the main reason for decrease in the industrial production volume indices.

Because of natural gas disruptions the Dushanbe cement plant has produced cement this year 154.8 tons less than last year, Ubaidulloyev noted.

Meanwhile, 148 of 258 enterprises operating in Dushanbe have increased industrial production volumes in January-November this year and cleared a total of 100 million somoni, the mayor said.

He also reported to the legislature on the process of implementation of the city budget and goals and tasks of the mayor’s office for 2014.
