Radio Salom begins broadcasting in northern Tajikistan

KHUJAND, February 4, 2014, Asia-Plus — Radio Salom has begun broadcasting in the northern Sughd province, bringing the total number of private radio stations in the area to nine.

According to the Sughd regional administration, Radio Salom has been launched with support from the Chkalovsk local authorities and Chkalovsk Mayor, Ms. Rukhsora Karimkhojayeva, attended an official ceremony of opening of the radio station.

This FM radio station will broadcast 10 hours per day on a frequency of 93.3 MHz.

10 radio stations now operate in Sughd province.
