Tajik, Saudi foreign ministries agree to conduct political consultations

DUSHANBE, April 1, 2014, Asia-Plus  – A broad range of issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia were discussed at a meeting of Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov with HRH Prince Saud bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, which took place in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh on March 31.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the sides noted that Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have good prospects and opportunities for expansion of their bilateral cooperation and expressed readiness to promote further expansion of bilateral cooperation in various areas.

The meeting reportedly ended with signing of a memorandum on conducting political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
