DUSHANBE, April 2, 2014, Asia-Plus – Tajik President Emomali Rahmon today began a working visit to the northern Sughd province.
While in Khujand, President Rahmon attended an official ceremony of opening of a flagpole.
A 55-meter flagpole that erected in the administrative center of Sughd province hoists the country’s three-color flag, measuring 12 meters by 7 meters. The 55-meter flagpole in Khujand reportedly costs some 3.5 million somoni.
Today, the head of state also inaugurated a new Cultural Center, Khujand Deluxe Hotel, milk-processing enterprise, and the Center for Carpet Weaving and Embroidery “Zinnat” in Khujand.
The Zinnat Center will create 1,000 new jobs and the new milk-processing enterprise will create 50 new jobs.
