DUSHANBE, April 8, 2014, Asia-Plus – A project aiming to promote extension of legal opportunities for the poor strata of population has been launched in Tajikistan.

The Bureau on Human Rights and Rule of Law of Tajikistan (BHR) is implementing the project under support of the Tajik Branch of the Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF-Tajikistan).

According to BHR, the main objective of the project is in involving the poor strata of population in use of legal instruments to solve legal problems and help the authorities define the public policy on providing citizens with free legal assistance.

The project reportedly provides for setting up pilot legal assistance providing centers in six regions of the country that will allow implementing the strategic task – to extend legal opportunities for the poor strata of population.
