DUSHANBE, May 13, 2014, Asia-Plus – Tajik President Emomali Rahmon has shaken up law enforcement officials.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, Mirzosharif Sharifzoda, who had previously served as chief prosecutor in the Roudaki district, was appointed chief prosecutor of Dushanbe.

Besides, chief prosecutors of Dushanbe’s Sino district, Khatlon’s districts of Baljuvon, Vakhsh and Jilikul as well as Tojikobod (district subordinate to the center) were replaced.

Military prosecutor of Sughd garrison and prosecutor overseeing the implementation of laws in penitentiary institutions in Sughd province were also replaced.

Muzaffar Hotamov was appointed to head the Drug Control Agency (DCA)’s office in Sughd province.

Narzullo Sohibov was appointed deputy director of the Agency for State Reserves under the Government of Tajikistan.

Nourillo Oripov was appointed head of the Interior Ministry Directorate for Internal Security.

Saidkhoja Mirzokhojayev was appointed head of the Chief Staff for Coordination of Activities of the Interior Ministry Special Units.

Besides, chiefs of police departments in Dushanbe’s Sino district, Qairoqqum (Sughd province), Shugnan district (Gorno Badakhshan), Hisor, Varzob and Fayzobod (districts subordinate to the center) as well as Khatlon’s districts of Vakhsh and Panj were replaced.
