DUSHANBE, May 16, 2014, Asia-Plus — A special working group, comprising specialists from the Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision, Tojikstandart (Tajik agency for standardization, certification, metrology and trade inspection) and Republican Veterinary Service, examined dairy products from Khujand (Sughd province) and came to the conclusion that no violations had been committed in manufacturing those dairy products and Dushanbe lifted ban on dairy  deliveries from Khujand.

“The working group carried out sanitary-chemical and bacteriological examination of the dairy products manufactured in Khujand and came to the conclusion that no violations of production norms were committed,” Deputy Minister of Health also Chief Sanitary Inspector of Tajikistan, Navrouz Jaffarov, told Asia-Plus in an interview on May 16.

We will recall that in a ruling handed down in early May, Dushanbe Chief Sanitary Inspector Abdulmannon Habibov put ban on dairy deliveries from the northern Sughd province.

The ban was imposed on dairy products of Sughd–based companies Porsoi Khujand, Fayzi Rasoul, Shohshir, Khujand Milk Plant, Dobry Fermer (Good Farmer), Aral and Correct after gross violations of sanitary norms of production, transportation and storage of dairy products were reportedly revealed.

Meanwhile, top managers of Fayzi Rasoul told Asia-Plus on May 16 that their dairy products are already on sale in Dushanbe.  According to them the enterprise produces 3-4 tons of dairy products per day and 300-400 liters of them are delivered to Dushanbe.
