All the hospitalized children on suspicion of poisoning from ammonia

chloride are children from Arbabkhatoun village of Charteppa *jamaat* of

Rudaki district are now discharged from Dushanbe hospitals and sent home.

Arif Nazimov, Emergency Committee Spokesperson, told Asia-Plus that the

expertise held in the first half of today showed that children had a little

malaise from ammonia chloride smell, but they did not get any poisoning.

Mr. Nazimov said: “Doctors have found that around 20 children from

Arbabkhatoun felt problems in their respiratory tract, caused by chlorine

smell, and were hospitalized in order to ascertain the cause of ailment.”

He also reported that there was no explosion of an ammonia chloride

container, as reported earlier: the unpleasant odor spread due to the fact

that workers of the metallurgical workshop for the production of furnace

stoves, cut a 40km tank with the remnants of ammonia chloride.
