The Head of the Tajik Labor Migrants NGO, Karamat Sharipov, denied the rumors about holding a mass rally of migrants in Moscow.
The website of the Tajik Labor Migrants NGO published Mr. Sharipov’s statement: “Journalists have a good imagination, and they were quick at spreading rumors about an upcoming rally of 10,000.”
Mr. Sharipov said: “I only noted that such rallies are a possibility, if they situation with Tajik migrants is not immediately legalized.”
According to him, Tajik migrants intend to legally pursue their right to work in Russia. He said: “They will gather in a congress in October for this reason, and send an address to the Russian and Tajik authorities, and will also develop a common strategy to help the arriving into Russia compatriots.
