DUSHANBE, September 17, 2014, Asia-Plus – Cardiac surgery has been performed on a one and a half month Tajik girl in the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk.
Russian news agency Itar-Tass reports the surgery was performed at the Krasnoyarsk Cardiovascular Surgery on September 16.
Volunteers from the Krasnoyarsk Charitable Foundation Dobro24.ru have collected money for the surgery.
The surgery cost some one million Russian rubles and the volunteers have reportedly collected 930,000 Russian rubles, including 250,000 Russian rubles provided by Tajik Diaspora and 300,000 Russian rubles provided by the charitable foundation. The remaining amount has been remitted by residents of the Russian Federation.
The charitable foundation notes that another 300,000 Russian rubles are needed for the post-surgery rehabilitation of Maryam Safarova.
