DUSHANBE, June 8, 2015, Asia-Plus — Iran and Tajikistan are determined to upgrade current level of bilateral cooperation based on an agreement signed by the two sides, Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani-Fazli told reported in Dushanbe Saturday (June 6) night at the end of his official three-day visit to Tajikistan.

, Rahmani-Fazli noted that the agreement signed about six months ago in Dushanbe is currently going through its legal procedures before being ratified by the Iranian parliament (Majlis).

Based on the memorandum of understanding (MoU), the two countries are to broaden cooperation in combating terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, border cooperation, training of police forces and making use of each other”s experiences and information, the Iranian minister said.

Iran and Tajikistan are to broaden cooperation in security and disciplinary sectors, he underlined. 

Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan with common language should broaden cooperation, Rahmani-Fazli said.
