DUSHANBE, October 21, 2015, Asia-Plus – Russian media outlets report Syrian President Bashar al-Assad flew into Moscow late on October 20 for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted as saying that they held lengthy talks Tuesday (October 20) evening.

, Peskov said the Syrian leader held one-on-one talks with the Russian president and then with the participation of Russia’s top officials.   

The talks reportedly focused on the fight against terrorist groups and the continuation of Russian military operations in Syria, including Russian air strikes.
