DUSHANBE, December 7, 2015, Asia-Plus – Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov met with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Belgrade on December 4 on the sidelines of the 22nd OSCE Ministerial Council.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the two discussed priorities of Germany’s Chairmanship in the OSCE in 2016 and bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Germany within the framework of the new European Union’s Strategy for Central Asia designed for 2015-2020.

They also exchanged views on cooperation in combating terrorism, extremism and other factors affecting regional and international security, the Tajik MFA information department said.

We will recall that addressing representatives of the OSCE’s 57 participating States in Vienna, German Foreign Minister Steinmeier noted on July 2 that trust and security are watchwords for 2016 Germany’s OSCE Chairmanship.
