DUSHANBE, January 15, 2016, Asia-Plus – Tajikistan’s investment portfolio now includes 59 projects totaling 2.5 billion U.S. dollars, according to the State Committee on Investments and State-owned Property Management (GosKomInvest).

An official source at GosKomInvest says 1.3 billion U.S. dollars have been drawn until January 1, 2016, which is 53 percent of the overall volume of funds.

Meanwhile, Tajikistan attracted nearly 720 million U.S. dollars of foreign investments in January-September 2015, which was 20 million U.S. dollars more than in the same period of 2014.

The volume of foreign direct investments (FDIs) has reportedly increased over the report period by 18 million U.S. dollars.  FDIs reportedly have reportedly gone to went to finance mining, agrarian, construction, industrial and other sectors.
