DUSHANBE, January 25, 2016, Asia-Plus – In 2015, Tajikistan produced a total of more than 12.1 billion somoni (equivalent to more than 1.5 billion U.S. dollars) worth of industrial goods, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Compared to 2014 the index of the volume of production of industrial goods amounted to 111.2 percent.

Processing industry reportedly produced nearly 8 billion somoni worth of output last year.

The volume of output produced last year by mining industry increased due to a 34.7 percent increase in the production of coal, and a 27.5 percent increase in production of gas.

Enterprises producing and distributing electrical power natural gas and water produced more than 2.5 billion worth of output in 2015.
