DUSHANBE, February 18, 2016, Asia-Plus – Tajik Embassy in Moscow has hosted a Tajik-Russian business forum to discuss issues related to supplying Tajik farm produce to Russia.

According to the Tajik Embassy, the meeting participants included Tajik Ambassador to Russia Imomuddin Sattorov, First Deputy Head of the Russian Federation Council Committee on Agriculture and Food Policy Sergey Lisovsky, heads of CIS business centers and the Eurasian Business Council, and representatives of Russian and Tajik government agencies dealing with sale of agricultural and textile outputs.

Speaking at the forum, the head of the Council of the Private Sector Development Union of Tajikistan F, Rajabov and the founder of the International Association of Producers and Exporters of Farm Produce of Tajikistan N. Nematov reported on Tajikistan’s opportunities to supply agricultural goods, including dried fruits, to Russia.

The forum participants also discussed challenges facing fruit and vegetable supplies and the logistical component of the issue.

The forum ended with signing of an agreement on cooperation between the national associations of Tajikistan and Russia, the source said.
