DUSHANBE, March 14, 2016, Asia-Plus – Six political parties have fielded their candidates for parliamentary by-elections in two constituencies.   Besides, two persons have nominated themselves as self-propelled candidates.

Abdumannon Dodozoda, a spokesman for the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CCER), says four political parties have fielded their candidates for parliamentary by-election in Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district (Constituency # 1).

The ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has nominated lawyer Emomali Nasriddinov, the Socialist Party (SPT) has nominated teacher Mavlouda Rajabova, the Party of Economic Reforms (PER) has nominated economist Sarvinoz Majidova and the Democratic Party (DPT) has nominated Hikmatullo Saidov.

Three political parties have fielded their candidates for parliamentary by-election in Sughd’s Jabborrasoulov district (Constituency # 16).

The PDPT has reportedly nominated  Alijon Saidzoda, the head of the Zafarobod district head’s office, the Communist Party (CPT) has nominated Hikmat Saidov, and the Agrarian Party (APT) has nominated Ilhomjon Ahmadov, the head of the Bobojonghafourov agriculture department.

Besides, two residents of the Jabborrasoulov district – Zulaykho Mahkamova and Bahodur Akramov – have nominated themselves as self-propelled candidates, the CCER spokesman said.
